Open Letter from 'Drake' to his via his blog 'OVO"
My good friends,
It has truly been too long. I assume you’re all keeping well and making the most of this year that has been given to us. Today is the day to begin sharing my newest work with you. This is the first single off of my upcoming album. I feel sometimes that people don’t have enough information about my beginnings and therefore they make up a life story for me that isn’t consistent with actual events. My family and my second family (consisting of the best friends anybody could ever have) all struggled and worked extremely hard to make all this happen. I did not buy my way into this spot and it was the furthest thing from easy to achieve. I am proud of every part of my past and I’m excited for this song to find a place in your life as well. I didn’t feel I needed any interviews or radio or press to launch this song. It felt right to come back to the site that I started on and release it to the people that started here with me. Judging by this post, the tour that we’ve been planning, the conversations about new songs and album artwork…I think it’s safe to say we’re back together again. Looking forward to seeing you all soon.

Bottle Service --- Drake Throws champagne at Chris Brown in NYC NIGHTCLUB----
![]() |
| Chris Brown posted his injury's on Tumblr |
The party was to honor the birthday of a few industry favorites with attendance by Ne-Yo, Drake, Maxwell, Julez, Mary J.Blige, Meek Mill, Trey Songz and Maino. Chris Brown recently tweeted about the part but the tweets were later deleted. Below is also an image tweeted by the singer after he was hit with a bottle.
So here’s what happened. Early Thursday morning a fight broke out between Drake and Chris Brown. Actually, it wasn’t really a fight, it was more like a ‘Bottle Fight’. Singer Teyana Taylor had a party at popular New York club called Greenhouse, to celebrate her signing to GOOD Music. Lots of her friends were in attendance like Meek Mill, Wale, Trey Songz, Chris Brown and his girlfriend Karrueche, Drake, etc.
Now as you’ll recall. A few weeks ago, Chris Brown, Drake and Meek Mill got into a subtle twitter dispute over Rihanna. Rumor has it that Chris Brown had pulled Meek Mill off of a record because he had been intimate with Rihanna (Chris’ ex). Meanwhile, Drake was rumored to have dealt with Rihanna at some point. The twitter stars aligned, along with male ego and emotion and the three had a Rihanna pissing contest on twitter.
Fast forward to the present party and rumor has it that Drake and Chris Brown had some type of altercation at the club. We were not there, but have been told by a party-goer that Drake threw a bottle at Chris Brown and all hell broke loose. The bottle actually hit Chris in the chin (hence the photo above). We also hear from other sources that Drake ran into the bathroom. I have no idea how accurate that is. Meanwhile, none of the parties involved have said a peep, outside of Karrueche Tran tweeting:
And Meek Mill has confirmed that he wasn’t the bottle thrower. Tweeting:

Drake being sued by female who claims she was his music writing partner
Drake is finally firing back at the disgruntled female vocalist featured on his hit song “Marvin’s Room” … telling TMZ he NEVER threatened the woman when she complained about payment.
Earlier this week — a woman named Ericka Lee filed a lawsuit against Drake, in which she claimed she co-wrote the song but never got proper credit.
In her suit, Lee claims Drake warned her that if she didn’t back off about payment … he had “people” who would take care of “issues like her.”
But Drake’s rep says, “This claim is entirely without merit and our client has not engaged in any wrongful conduct.”
The rep also claims Lee consented to have her voice used in “Marvin’s Room” without compensation … adding, “Drake tried for months to resolve the matter amicably, and he now looks forward to being vindicated in court.”
In her suit, Lee claims she and Drake were engaged in a romantic relationship for more than a year between 2010 and 2011 … but sources tell us the rapper is adamant there was never a relationship between the two.

Drake says there will be no swagger jacking..................
In a recent interview with XXL, Drake explained that he and Lil Wayne have decided to put their collaborative album joint on hold and maybe for good.
The reason, because he felt fans would compare the project to Watch The Throne rather than judge it as an individual collaborative album.
“Me and Wayne scrapped the idea of a collaboration album,” Drake told XXL exclusively. “We just agreed that it would be looked upon as… It would be sort of this competition [with Watch The Throne]. I feel like it would get caught in this whirlwind of hype. [Wayne] agreed. We just said, ‘If we do it, we'll do it down the line. But right now is not the time.'”
However, Drizzy is still working on a mixtape with Rick Ross entitled, Y.O.L.O., which means You Only Live Once.
“I've been working on that for the last couple of weeks,” Drizzy detailed of his street project with Rozay. “We haven't really connected because he's been going through this thing with his health. I've been stashing my little beats and verses. I don't have a drop date for it or a time for it. To be honest, it's something I just really wanted to pop up out of nowhere. I'm not gonna release no single or anything. It's something I want to do because I enjoy like working with Ross.”

Somebody pissed Pusha T off !
Pusha T is going at Drizzy int his new freestyle. Peep some of the quotables:
“Rappers on their sophomores, actin’ like they boss lords/ Fame such a funny thing for sure, when ni**as start believing all them encores/ I’m just the one to send you off, bonjour/ See yourself as I pull up in that mirror tint/ Skins vs. blouses, you mirror Prince, ‘Chappelle’s Show,’ all of you Neal Brennans, sketch comedy, who is for real penning?”
“The talk don’t match the leather, the swag don’t match the sweaters, the wolves don’t walk with shepherds/ These Margiela verses all you mall dwellers, off the rack suits looking like pallbearers.”
Do you remember back in the day when Pusha and Malice as The Clipse had major beef with Lil Wayne for stealing their swag

Dmx is back on the scene - shots are being fired at drake and he has only just begun - Can he stay out of trouble - here is a time line of his run ins with the law - you decide .
1998: Arrested after a stripper alleged she was raped by DMX. No evidence was found and charges were dropped.
1999: Arrested during the Hard Knock Life tour for an alleged stabbing. Charges were dropped.
2004: Arrested after attempting to steal a car outside JFK airport in NYC. DMX claimed to be an FBI agent and demanded the car for top-secret FBI ‘business’. Seriously. He used fake sirens to pull the vehicle over and sped off after the owner refused to hand it over. Parking lot attendants denied DMX’s request to open the gate, prompting him to drive through it. Police reported he was under the influence of Valium.
2004: Just weeks after the FBI incident, DMX was arrested for speeding and driving with a suspended license.
2005: Arrested for crashing his SUV into a woman’s vehicle, which was subsequently pushed into a police car.
2006: Arrested on a flight from NY to London for refusing to wear his seat belt and becoming abrasive when told he must.
2008: Barricaded inside his bedroom in attempt to deter a raid, DMX came out of his pillow fort when the SWAT team showed up. Police found guns, drug paraphernalia, multiple cars with incorrect or mismatching license plates, and sixteen pit bulls. Three of the sixteen were dead, and one of three had been lit on fire.
2008: Mild in comparison, DMX was arrested for failure to appear in court and driving with a suspended license.
2008: Arrested after giving a false name during a hospital stay and shirking a $7500 hospital bill.
2009: DMX showed up an hour and a half late to his own performance at a charity concert and threw a fit when security refused to let him perform.
Be it may that he has been in trouble more than most - I love to give DMX the benefit of the doubt - after all he was very popular when he first came out right .
what is really troubling him -
We all now that he came from a broken home and he had issues with his childhood - hell who doesn't right - but i also feel he has something deeper he is holding on to - also Dmx is not about to get down with the new world order - his claims against Jayz were scolding and soon after he made them -live onstage - shortly after leaving the performance - he was arrested and thrown in rehab and labeled 5150 .
Dmx knows what he speaks of though he has collabed with Jay z before - he claimed Hov hated on him and he also mae claims of evil forces running hip hop behind the scene I f only this artist hadn't fell off - but I think Dmx can be forgiven if he gets it all the way together - it will be interesting to hear what he has to say now days - if only he can stay out of trouble long enough to get his point across- We will be praying for our dog - to get better .....
