Bobby Brown performed as scheduled at a New Edition concert on Saturday, but not before displaying his emotions over the death of his ex-wife Whitney Houston.
He told the crowd in Southaven, Miss.: "First of all, I want to tell you that I love you all. Second, I would like to say, I love you, Whitney! The hardest thing for me to do is to come on this stage."
Although they are now divorced you can't think of Bobby Brown with Whitney Houston. As the superstar tragically passed earlier today, February 11, Bobby was stricken with the sad news along with the rest of the world. TMZ has more on his reaction...

According reports, one of Houston's early hits, "You Give Good Love," played over the loudspeakers during an intermission. An report claims Brown broke down and sobbed during the song "Tenderoni." Brown and Houston's often tumultuous marriage, which was riddled with scandal and drug abuse, lasted between 1992 and 2007. They share a daughter, 18-year-old Bobbi Kristina. Police do not suspect foul play in the death of Houston, 48, who was found in Beverly Hills hotel room on Saturday. |

Bobby Brown is distraught and "in and out of crying fits" ... after getting the news that Whitney Houston is dead -- but his New Edition band mates are by his side trying to console him.
New Edition has a concert tonight in Mississippi -- and believe it or not sources close to the group tell TMZ ... not only will New Edition go on as scheduled, but as of now Bobby is also planning to perform.
We're told Bobby is going to try to get through the entire show.
I feel for him, and I regret that the media liked to play him for a devil for loving America's sweetheart. And as a widow, I know he needs his concert -- just a moment where he can be normal before he lives the rest of his life without her.
