According to the BET Awards Twitter page, D’Angelo will be performing for the first time on television in over a decade. Rick Ross, Wale and Meek Mill will also be among the artists to perform. Cissy Houston will also be performing during a musical tribute to her daughter, Whitney.

The 2012 BET Awards airs LIVE on July 1st at 8/7pm CST.

Samuel . Jackson will be hosting the 2012 BET Awards next month.

The bet awards were a mess I heard - Trina announced via twitter that she did not care for this years awards ceremony , as Diamond ( crime mob) was nominated for a category of best female artist - hip hop .

Lil Kim also boycotted the performance .

 

Beyonce performed via satellite - and Jaden and Willow smith tied in best new artist . Isn't that the cutest . It really does seem like there is a true division in the music biz right now .
