Hip Hop Dx -----》Dr. Dre's "Billionaire" Comments Could Complicate Apple's Purchase of Beats Electronics

Dr. Dre was seen in a video released by Tyrese stating that he is “the first billionaire in Hip Hop” last night (May 8) during what appears to be a celebration of Apple’s rumored acquisition of Beats Electronics. While the Financial Times reported that Apple would acquire the company for $3.2 billion, neither electronics powerhouse has confirmed the transaction. Since the deal has yet to be announced officially, does Dr. Dre’s statementpotentially jeopardize confidentiality agreements tied to the multibillion-dollar deal?

To shed light on whether Dr. Dre’s comment broke standard confidentiality agreements, HipHopDX asked White, Weld & Co Securities Managing Director, Corey Davis for his expert opinion.

Mr. Davis says that, “While there is a large amount of speculation in the media about a potential deal with Apple and Beats Electronics, there has yet to be any direct confirmation from the parties involved. I reviewed the video of Tyrese and Dr. Dre talking about the ‘first hip hop billionaire’ and changing the Forbes list. A viewer could infer from the media speculation that Dre is referring to his newly found wealth as a result of the rumored deal.

“The answer to your question regarding whether or not this 'statement' breaks any confidentiality clauses falls into a 'grey' area,” Davis says. He continues:

“There are ethics, there are morals and then there is the law. While I am not a lawyer, one could argue that he didn’t break any laws because (i) even without a deal, the company now has an implied value of $3.2 billion (or more); and (ii) neither Dre or Tyrese mention Apple. I am sure their lawyers aren’t pleased about the video given that it has been removed from Tyrese’s Facebook page.

“Finally, as a privately held company, any leaks of a deal will not cause the deal price to go up—with the exception that it might entice new bidders to come to the fore. However, if the bankers did their job, you would expect all of the likely buyers to have already been contacted. In fact, their lapse in judgment could have an unintended consequence that could cause the deal to collapse. If investors think a deal between Apple and Beats Electronics doesn’t make sense, they could sell Apple stock causing the share price to decline—sending a strong message to Apple management that they don’t approve. If the deal hasn’t been inked, it could cause management to rethink their decision.”

Predictions of Judgement day turn out to be false

Proof that the End is real are coming, and that the Second Coming of Jesus  was just around the corner is what Harold Camping believed and preached to his followers .

  Signs of the Apocalypse are all around us, and while some are noticing that the end of the world very well could have been today at 6 pm  most are ignoring the 2011 warnings so claims Mr. Camping, who is a billionaire with a very successful radio broadcasting show

 (family broadcasting radio show) and a preacher who seemed to have a peculiar way of getting the worlds attention - he has predicted before and was incorrect - so why anyone would believe him now would just be a wild guess .

  Proof of the the Apocalypse that you can find in today’s news is the incredible wild fires in Texas.

  Harold Camping  said the  destruction in Texas from the fires is just a small preview to what the Apocalypse will look like between May 21 and October 21, 2011.

Harold camping definitely has egg on his face as his predictions of judgement day and the world ending on May 21st .

 He and his followers who paid for enormous amounts of publicity by purchasing billboards  foretelling of the world coming to an end .

What a day it was hearing his people say the Apocalypse was to start may 21 st midnight along with the way they promoted it - it was almost believable for the fact that why were they going to extremes to let us know something of this magnitude was about to take place .

No one knew what to expect , chaos - looting martial law , mayhem and more .

How ever it would have turned out I hear the big question was - were u ready .

This definitely does not help the age old battle between atheist and Christian's - the battle over whether or not that god exist .

All over the world they are having rapture parties and atheist non believer parties .

As 6:02 pm eastern time they reported on the nightly news that Harold Camping was surrounded by his followers holding his bible being jeered and heckled .

I wondered personally if he wants to find a rock and hide so far up under it to never be seen again .

 How twitter was blazing with trending topics such as #Rapture play list and #end of the world confessions.

Everyone across the world knew about this prediction unless you lived in a cave literally .

What did you do on the so called judgement day , there were rumors that people were going to retaliate against people who they had beef with . We were warned to stay in the house but I wasn't - I was broadcasting at The Unicorn Theatre , it was a poetry slam .

 I had a ball , somewhat kind of concerned about the rapture happening while I was on the air .

 I went to church faithfully when I was a child so I know that people believe in the rapture and Armageddon and some of these claims people take very serious - even though the most Holy Roley person I know said no one knows the hour nor day  .

What is truly sad is that Harold Camping was probably trying to bring people closer to god - but he maybe did just the opposite , and pushed them farther  away from knowing the truth or wanting to know the truth .

I wonder what his congregation will look like come this Sunday , will it be swamped with his followers who clung to his every word or will it be as empty as a saloon with no ale , only god knows
