Netflix and Instagram knocked out by powerful east coast storm

NEW YORK — Netflix, Instagram and Pinterest are using Twitter and Facebook to update subscribers after violent storms across the eastern U.S. caused server outages for hours.
Netflix and Pinterest restored service by Saturday afternoon.

Instagram used its Facebook fan page to communicate with users of its photo-sharing service. It posted a message on Saturday morning that blamed the electrical storm for the outage and explained that its engineers were working to restore service.
Still, many Instagram’s users were searching for answers. “Instagram” was the top search term on Google on Saturday, according to Google Trends.
Netflix, Pinterest and Instagram are customers of Amazon Inc.’s web services division. The unit provides web services and data storage facilities that are commonly used for “cloud computing”.
Amazon spokeswoman Kay Kinton told The Associated Press in an email that the storm cut power to some of company’s operations.
Service has been restored for most customers, Kinton said.
Netflix, a video streaming service, said on Twitter that subscribers should reconnect if they still experienced problems.
The online scrapbook service Pinterest says employees are working to fix remaining issues that may affect performance.
The Friday evening storms knocked out power for millions of people.

New details in case --- Ohio student kills one and wounds 4 in school shooting , but who exactly was T.J. Lane ?

(CNN) -- T.J. Lane didn't belong to any particular clique in the schools he attended, fellow students said. Even those who knew described him as quiet, someone who was guarded, seemingly sad at times, but nice once you broke through the wall that he put up around himself.

But they never would have thought that he'd be described as a killer -- until Monday, when two students told CNN they saw Lane walk up to a table in the cafeteria of Ohio's Chardon High School and begin firing. The suspect was arrested a short time later, after being chased from the school by a teacher. Police have not identified the alleged gunman except to say he is a juvenile.
One person died in the shooting, while four others were wounded, authorities said.

" From the video below the way he is described by the yung ady who befreinded him, sounds like a classic case of symptoms and ingredient for a ticking time bomb .

Will people learn to leave people alone about the way they dress or act . I am not excusing  T.J Lanes actions because violence should never be the answer , but people are really only human."

I also found a cool little forum that discussed this tragedy - click the link and check it out , pretty interesting. Its all too sad and bullying is a dead end street of fun going nowhere .http://www.fairfaxunderground.com/forum/read/40/842094/842467.html
