C Murder Appeal To Supreme Court Denied for Life Sentenced

Miller was convicted in 2003, but former Judge Martha Sassone granted him a new trial after she found that prosecutors improperly withheld criminal background information on three witnesses from the defense. The state Supreme Court sided with Sassone in 2006, and she then set a $500,000 bond for Miller and ordered him into house arrest.

Things took a turn for the worse For C Murder's Murder Case 

On Tuesday, the Supreme Court rejected the appeal of the rapper C-Murder (born as Chris Miller), who is currently serving a life sentence in prison.

C-Murder's Club Shooting Surveillance Footage by mixtapemonster In 2002, C-Murder, a former No Limit Records’ artist, was accused of second degree murder and sentenced to life in prison for the death of a 16-year-old fan while at a night club in Louisiana. After a not-so-speedy trial, the judge presiding over the case demanded a verdict from the jury. The jury returned with a 10-2 guilty verdict, and the judge sentenced C-Murder to life in prison.

Chris Miller appealed the verdict stating that he had been denied a fair trial. Miller claimed that the prosecutors prevented black people from sitting on the jury, and that the judge allowed “prejudicial and unsubstantiated” testimony. Most importantly, he believed that the presiding judge should have granted a mistrial after the jury could not initially reach a verdict.

"I'm holding up pretty good here at Angola [State prison in Louisiana]," C-Murder wrote in a letter. "I work out regularly and participate in all sports leagues. Of course I hate it, but hey, you gotta do what you gotta do. Life is short and the time you waste in jail can never be replaced. I'm asking you guys to take heed to my situation and better yourselves to live a positive and productive life." (All Hip Hop)

Unfortunately for Miller, his case will not be re-opened by the Supreme Court. According toAP via USNews the court "has decided to no longer deal with the issue of constitutional law as it pertains to the requirement of federal juries to reach unanimous verdicts in criminal cases, but allows states to have different rules." As it turns out, Louisiana and Oregon are the only states that allow for non-unanimous convictions for crimes like second degree murder.

C-Murder’s rap career consists of several solo albums and collaborative projects with TRU, the rapping trio composed of himself and his brothers, Master P and Silkk The Shocker. In 2010, C-Murder presented his latest project entitled Tomorrow, his first body of work released while in prison.

Former No Limit Records artist Mystikal recently spoke on Murder's legal woes.

"I haven't had a chance to speak with [Master P] since I been back though," Mystikal told DJ Whoo Kid in an interview. "I ain't get a chance to holla at him yet. I hollered at C before his [case] went the way it did, you know. We gonna see if we can work on that too, I can't let him sit in there like that. He still got some breathing room, he got a little fight left in him." (Radio Planet TV)

Master P Speaks Out last fall about his brother, C-Murder, doing time behind bars.

"Your image can get you incarcerated and take a lot of things away from you," P explained. "I think he realizes that right now and he definitely will be fighting an appeal but it takes times. It might take two to three years. He's innocent from his crimes, everybody knows that but that goes to show you how your image and all the stuff from your past -- it makes others think 'Oh, you know this guy's name is C-Murder, so he's guilty.' They don't even look at, 'Oh you wasn't in the club, you didn't pull the trigger.' Man, your image can really describe your life." (SOHH)

C-Murder's financial issues have reportedly landed him the help of two Harvard attorneys who have agreed to assist with his appeal. But it seems that with all the help he garnered it would prove not to be enough in the end . 

KE$HA Bragged About Writing 'Die Young' Lyrics Before Massacre

Ke$ha is either lying now ... or was lying then ... 'cause weeks before she said she was "forced" to sing the lyrics to "Die Young," she BRAGGED about penning the song during a radio interview. 

The singer appeared on 95.5 WPLJ in New York back in November -- weeks before the Newtown massacre -- and took full credit for writing the song, saying: 

"I definitely make sure that every word rings true to me because I would never want to misrepresent myself to millions of people around the world ... I wrote and rewrote and rewrote that song ten times."

Shocking, considering Ke$ha completely contradicted herself on Twitter yesterday after several radio stations around the country stopped playing the song in light of the Newtown tragedy. Ke$ha had written, "I did NOT want to sing those lyrics and I was FORCED TO."

The lyrics to "Die Young" include the line:  "Let's make the most of the night like we're gonna die young.  We're gonna die young.  We're gonna die young."

So, what's the truth? We reached out to Ke$ha -- but haven't heard back. 

As for her tweets regarding "Die Young" -- those have since been deleted.

Singing sensation Adele announced Friday (June 29) that she is pregnant with her first child.
The Grammy-winning vocal powerhouse, 24, whose blockbuster album, 21, detailed the tumultuous end to her last relationship, is expecting a child with her boyfriend, 36-year-old Simon Konecki, a former financier and co-founder of the U.K. bottled-water company Life Water.
"I'm delighted to announce that Simon and I are expecting our first child together," Adele wrote in a blog post titled "I've Got Some News" on her website. "I wanted you to hear the news direct from me, obviously we're over the moon and very excited but please respect our privacy at this precious time. Yours always, Adele xx"
The happy news comes after years of troubled romantic relationships, which Adele has famously committed to song. Tracks like "Someone Like You" and the Grammy-winning "Rolling in the Deep" from her blockbuster album 21 dealt deeply and explicitly with her breakup from her last boyfriend.
Konecki also heads Life Water's charity, Drop4Drop, which brings clean water to developing countries. He has been married before, and after reports circulated earlier this year that he was still married when he and Adele began seeing each other, the singer was forced to address the rumors, writing on her website (via People), "Contrary to reports and headlines in the press today, Simon is divorced and has been for 4 years."
21 has sold 9.3 million copies in the U.S. to date, according to Rolling Stone, making the set the biggest-selling record since Usher's 2004 album Confessions. With the exception of her well-received performance at this year's Grammy Awards, Adele has been taking it easy as she continues to recover from surgery related to a vocal cord hemorrhage.

Ice T creates Rap documentary ' The Art Of Rap"

When Ice-T's documentary Something From Nothing: The Art of Rap hits theaters Friday, he hopes the music genre will get something he feels it has long been lacking: respect.
In his directorial debut, the gangster rap pioneer-turned-actor interviews more than 40 hip-hop legends about how they craft the lyrics to the songs. The movie was picked up by Indomina Releasing for distribution rights after its premiere in January at the Sundance Film Festival. Sony just released a 23-song, digital-only soundtrack.
The Art of Rap provides a dynamic history lesson that has nothing to do with sales, beef or riches, but instead gets rappers to talk about what inspires and influences what they say on the mike.

Although only a few minutes of each interview appears in the film, Ice-T spent at least two hours with his subjects. He says he chose only people that he knew personally, so the interviews would become relaxed conversations among friends. He asked the rappers to deliver on-the-spot rhymes from a favorite song or something they'd just made up.

"I was looking at the state of hip-hop, which has gotten a little pop for me, and I just wanted to document where we came from," says Ice-T, 54, who since 2000 has starred on TV's Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. "I don't feel that rap has been respected as an art form. Because people have seen rappers rap off the top of their heads, they don't think it is difficult."
He seeks to dispel that notion in interviews with Melle Mel, Big Daddy Kane, Doug E. Fresh, Nas, Chuck D, Kanye West, MC Lyte, Kool Moe Dee, Dr. Dre, Eminem, Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg, Run-D.M.C. and others.



 Ice-T films them in a variety of venues — street corners, studios, living rooms — and makes use of the music and urban scenery as he catches up with his subjects in New York, Los Angeles and other cities. Ice-T had several gold and platinum albums as a solo artist and with his heavy metal band Body Count in the 1980s and '90s. He began acting in the mid-'80s and had his film breakthrough in Mario Van Peebles' New Jack City (1991). But despite all his years in front of the camera, his directing experience was limited to videos. Going forward, he wants to do feature films, but decided to get his feet wet doing something he knew about.
"A lot of the greats that helped start this art form from scratch are still alive — Grandmaster Caz, Afrika Bambaataa— very powerful people who took gangbanging and turned it into hip-hop," Ice-T says. "They deserve to be honored. This is an American art form and should be respected.
"It's the predominate culture in the world right now, whether it's a Taco Bell commercial or a clothing line. Even the weatherman is rapping."
He says he hopes that younger rappers will take lessons from the film and get a greater understanding of how that art form evolved.
"The new kids are kind of jumping on a train that was started by these people," he says. "All I want is for the kids to see where it came from and have a degree of respect for it.
"It's like if I want to be a jazz player, I need to watch a film about Miles Davis just so I can appreciate what I'm doing."

Let me explain to you the definition of HOLOGRAM.

It's tempting to say up front that Tupac Shakur stole the show on Sunday night when his likeness appeared alongside Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre to cap off the first weekend of Coachella, but that would just be for a cheap laugh. Making a "cameo" as a hologram projected onto the stage and the jumbo screens above. In case you ae wondering what the Outlaws have to say about coachella using Tupac's likeness - I picked up the link from them , and they are cool with it so far.

The first weekend of Coachella closed with a mega celebration of old school meets new school hip-hop as Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg hit the main stage together, with an unprecedented guest list. In addition to appearances from 50 Cent, Eminem, Wiz Khalifa and Kendrick Lamar, a Tupac Shakur hologram was live on stage. (Not the rumored Nate Dogg hologram we'd previously heard about). Update ; Last night, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg closed out the three-day Coachella festival with a star-studded set that featured guest spots from Eminem, 50 Cent, Warren G, Wiz Khalifa, and more. But the one guest everyone is talking about has been dead for over 15 years: A hologram of Tupac Shakur performed "Hail Mary" solo, then was joined by Snoop for "2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted" before disintegrating in front of the massive, screaming crowd.

Kobe Bryant's wife files for divorce and guess what - there is no prenup !!!! Oh snap!

SANTA ANA, Calif. -- Kobe Bryant's wife, Vanessa, filed for divorce on Friday from the Los Angeles Lakers star, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split.

Vanessa Bryant filed papers in Orange County Superior Court in Santa Ana.

A representative for the couple released a statement saying, "The Bryants have resolved all issues incident to their divorce privately with the assistance of counsel and a Judgment dissolving their marital status will be entered in 2012."

The couple have been married for 10 1/2 years and have two daughters, ages 8 and 5.

In the statement, the Bryants "ask that in the interest of our young children and in light of the upcoming holiday season the public respect our privacy during this difficult time."
